About The Festival

'At The Edge Of The Sea' is an all-day, indoor, mini-festival curated by David Gedge which takes place at the legendary Concorde 2 venue on the historic seafront at Brighton in England every August. Both of David's own groups [Cinerama and The Wedding Present] appear each year. Since 2022 the event has also been streamed live from the venue.

Featuring The Wedding Present playing a mix of hits, classics and rarities in a 70-minute set, plus Cinerama, Brighton & Hove City Brass, Miki Berenyi Trio, Close Lobsters, Lande Hekt, Spare Snare, Jar Of Blind Flies, 'Everett True Sings The Fall' and 'Taking Kyiv To The Kosmos': David Gedge in conversation with Peter Solowka & Len Liggins from The Ukrainians, plus acoustic songs. Doors 3PM-10PM.

Many 'At The Edge Of The Sea' fans travelling from outside of Sussex camp at the Brighton Caravan Club Site [East Brighton Park, Brighton BN2 5TS] which is near to the restaurants of the Brighton Marina and just 1.5 miles from Concorde 2. The site takes bookings for August from February onwards.

 

Those not keen on camping may be interested to know that less expensive accommodation may be found outside of Brighton, whose hotels attract tourists throughout the year. One example is Gatwick Airport, which is served by frequent trains departing from Brighton Railway Station right up until 11PM on Fridays and midnight on Saturdays.

Finally, snacks are available during At The Edge Of The Sea from Barefoot Café which is over the road from Concorde 2.
