New Album, New Club
In August The Wedding Present started work on their eighth studio album. Immediately before they played at the ‘Edges’ and ‘Radfest’ festivals, the band decamped to France where they recorded the backing tracks to several songs at Black Box Studio near Nantes.
Singing will be added later this year in Los Angeles, where the album will also be mixed by Andrew Scheps, who has previously worked with artists as diverse as Metallica, Adele and Blood Red Shoes.
Scopitones expects the album to be released in March, 2012.
In connection with this, The Wedding Present have launched a new project called ‘Club 8’. Club 8 is a unique club for fans and is associated exclusively with this album release. Membership will be strictly limited to the first 500 people who join.
